Assembly Instructions for Reproduction Eames Chairs

When we are asked to despatch reproduction Charles Eames chairs by courier, either in the UK or abroad, the chair will be sent in two pieces (base and top).

To ensure the height adjustment mechanism is not activated during transport, a safety cap has been applied to the top of the height adjustment mechanism of the base.

For the chair to work correctly, it is vitally important that this dust cap is removed before assembling the top to the base. Please see pictures below.

		This is what the chair base looks like with the dust cap still in place on the height adjustment mechanism.

		Remove the dust cap from the height adjustment mechanism before assembling the chair.

		This is what the height adjustment mechanism looks like after the dust cap has been removed. The base is now ready to be fitted to the top of the chair.

		Insert the height adjustment mechanism in the base of the chair.
